Sweet, boozy, floral mostly-gourmand
XO Brandy is one of the newest three releases from Navitus Parfums x Big Beard Business. It’s sweet and boozy, but with a noticeably floral side to it, featuring notes of brandy, almond, heliotrope, sugar, sandalwood, patchouli, and tolu balsam. It strikes me as nice unisex evening or cooler-weather option, especially. It’s certainly not as dark as earlier BBB releases like Exalt Nuit or Soir Exclusif, but occupies a bit of a midrange, similar to Empyreal in Steven’s latest collection, in this respect, so it’s a bit more versatile, seasonally and situation-wise, than some of the heavier and more intense Navitus releases, historically.
It mostly feels like a gourmand, even with the heliotrope, patchouli, and other less food notes, and performs pretty well. XO Brandy, like the other recent releases from Steven and BBB, is priced at $145 for 100ml, with additional discounts currently available.
