Ambre superfluide has been in our perfume cabinet for almost 1 1/2 years now. I can say without a doubt that this fragrance is one of our treasures.
The fragrance joins the family of Ambre nuit, Angels Share and Ambre narguile. Nevertheless, it stands out well from its fragrance twins. I find it much more finely woven, more elegant and deeper in character than its fragrance twins.
It is sweet, but not overly sweet. It is dark, mysterious without being aloof. Honey, cinnamon, vanilla and rum give it a beautiful warm base color without you being able to smell these notes individually. I don't smell fir balsam and rose at all. However, I could imagine that the fir balsam is responsible for the depth of the fragrance. The amber note is very close to that in Ambre Nuit. I think I detect a salty touch.
I particularly like the high-quality finish of the fragrance. In recent years, I have developed an increasing intolerance to strong-smelling fixatives. Many amber fragrances smell so pungent to me that I quickly give up. Ambre superfluide is consistently so velvety soft and cuddly to the nose that nothing scratches or stings.
Although the fragrance is very expensive, I can still recommend it. It lasts a long time and is very elegant. You are easily noticed without it being noticeable in a negative way. Ambre superfluide is simply pleasant throughout. Although the fragrance is mainly worn by my partner, I also use it from time to time. I can see Ambre superfluide on both a woman and a man.
