Soft picnic scent

I can't believe my bottle that's around 20 years old still smells good! I didn't use to like the scent as a child, but now that I've gotten into the perfume world, I found a new appreciation for it. In fact, I really like it now. This one and the also discontinued Pivoine I see as perfect scents for a picnic by the pond. So feminine, so soft and sophisticated. If you can get your hands on Magnolia Eau de Toilette or Pivoine, I say go for it!

Porcelain Magnolia

"Magnolia", the name was/is program with this discontinued Yves Rocher. But what else is there besides the bright, creamy, pink-white flower? That can not be all, right?

Yes, it can. It has to. For better or worse. Because much more except a very solid, high-quality magnolia offers this Yves Rocher on my skin hardly. It does that well, here and there maybe supported with some gauzy patch and brightest, feminine oakmoss. But that goes down, most of the time it's all about the title, the pretty flower. A monotheistic Mrs. Dependable. From the office to the pond, this gal never goes for the balls. A little more sophistication or edge, character or sass would have been allowed, though, in my opinion...

Flacon: almost like a museum piece
Sillage: quite delicate, but never gone
Durability: 4-6 hours - magnolias rarely last longer on my skin

Verdict: a porcelain-smooth magnolia between awe and torpor. Something more than just a "Oma fragrance". However, very gossamer and sparse, minimalist and monochromatic
