Disappointing
Seraphim Blue promised to be something refreshing, a different kind of fragrance experience with its aquatic, fresh, and powdery accords, but it doesn't really come out that way. Right from the first plug, it smells synthetic and unbalanced. It is supposed to be a symphony of apple, eucalyptus, and lavender notes, but it turns into some really harsh, almost medicinal-like smell, pretty far from pleasant. As it develops, it becomes this confusing blend of marine and floral that clashes with each other rather than fuses together. The result is a muddled, uninviting scent that really fails to capture any sense of sophistication or allure.

The dry down, which one might hope may redeem this fragrance, is no better. Instead of a smooth, lingering finish, Seraphim Blue concludes with something a bit musty, almost stale, neither delighting nor impressing. The weak longevity and sillage might be counted as small mercies, in that the fragrance will at least quickly die into obscurity, not leaving much of an initial assault on the senses. But overall, Seraphim Blue is best left on the shelf—it's, quite literally, not granted finesse and coherent makeup that would have made for a great scent.

Actually Coco Loco
In my opinion, this should have been called Coco Loco. I get a prominent, beachy coconut note with subtle fruit when I wear it. The "blue" aspect is there with the soapy shower gel feel.

It's not unpleasant to wear, at all. I enjoy it. Definitely aquatic, mass appealing blue fragrance. Personally, I would reach for other fragrances of this ilk but if you like summertime aquatics, this fits the bill.

Modernized, smooth blue freshie
First wearing of the latest release from Zaharoff, Signature Seraphim Blue, which to me is an elegant, classed up, modern version of the fresh blue fragrance archetype that was prominent in perfumes marketed to men in the 1990s and 2000s, especially. But rather than smelling synthetic and overwrought like some of those examples, Seraphim Blue feels a bit more balanced and restrained while still feeling like a nod to that era of men’s perfumery. It has features of a salty aquatic mixed with green and floral acords making for a very easy wear. As an aquatic, it’s midway between clean and dirty, perhaps leaning slightly clean but not unrealistically so.

I really like this as an everyday option, a pleasant signature or summer or relaxing scent to be worn by anyone, anytime. It’s also quite reasonably priced, like the rest of the house, in this case at $195/155 for 120/60ml, in (I believe) EDP concentration.

Grandma’s fancy soap. The opening is nice but it drifts off into a weird powdery soap place. Reminds me of Halfeti Rose without the rose.

If you like fresh blue fragrances but you're older than 14, this is almost a must smell. Clean, classy, subtle but very nice. Cool iris.
