Invigorating elixir of life directly from the spirit of nature
Succus is a fragrance candidate who wasn't even on my test list.
I already knew almost all other liquides.
However, I wasn't particularly interested in the fragrance pyramid and the description of the fragrance; especially since fresh fragrances are actually only my thing to a minimal extent. Actually...
Succus is undoubtedly a fresh fragrance. And a spicy scent. And last but not least a nature-affirming fragrance.
Succus smells of nature. Nature in the sense of fresh, wet wood, brook water and a lot of grasses. Deep green and dripping wet. Plant and flower juices form, run, drip, mix in all shades of green - and in all possible scent spectra that give off grass and plant juices.
It is important to mention that Succus is never synthetic. Quite the opposite.
Even the sweetness that flashes through again and again - but especially from the later scent onwards - doesn't seem to be clapped on, overfed, unsuitable or even synthetic. It is well dosed so that at no time can one speak of a sweet scent. It's green-spicy-herb tifft there rather. And really incredibly refreshing - whereby here the word 'invigorating' is the far more appropriate choice.
Succus is a fresh fragrance that goes off the beaten track of those fragrances with a similar character that are otherwise (always felt) to take.
You have the (extremely pleasant) feeling that you have just sprayed yourself with an instant waxing agent in the form of pure nature. Just great enough none in the form of lemon, orange and neroli...
The citric-fruity ingredients, such as mandarin and rhubarb in particular, are cool through and through, tart and soaked in moisture. Also more acidic than sweet.
The flowers and grasses do the same to them. Also the cedar and the (at least as far as the smelling is concerned) other woods are humid to wet, vigorous and full of life.
That may even be the cue. Succus seems incredibly alive and powerful. And actually also invigorating, which is a pretty cool (side) effect.
Succus is a fanatastically made, portable - albeit somewhat off-beat - perfume art.
