Editorial Policy

This page explains how I decide what to publish, how I keep it accurate, and what happens when I get something wrong.

EssenceVitae is written and edited by Ahmed Raza, an accountant. It’s a small, independent site, not a content farm, and that’s deliberate.

Who the site is for

Small-business owners, freelancers and online sellers choosing and using accounting software. Every page should help one of those people make a decision or get a task done.

Accuracy and sources

  • Facts about a product come from my own use, or from the company’s official documentation and pricing pages. I say which.
  • Prices name the country and the date checked. Intro offers are always shown next to the full price.
  • I don’t publish invented ratings, review counts, discount codes, testimonials or “customers saved” figures.
  • Accounting and tax explanations are general information, not advice for your specific situation. For that, talk to your own accountant.

Updates

Software changes constantly, so pages get reviewed. When I make a real change, such as new prices, a changed recommendation or a new section, I update the “last updated” date and say what changed. I don’t change dates just to make a page look fresh.

How I use AI tools

I use AI writing tools to help with drafting, structure and editing. Every page is checked and approved by me before it’s published, and every price and product claim is checked against my own accounts or the vendor’s official information. AI tools never decide a recommendation.

Some links earn the site a commission. That pays for the software subscriptions and the time behind the reviews. It never buys a ranking. Details are in the affiliate disclosure.

Corrections

If you spot an error, please tell me. I’ll check it, and if I got something important wrong I’ll fix it promptly and note the correction on the page.

How I review software in practice is on how I test accounting software.
